Somerset Clinic is a beautiful, Edwardian house close to the heart of Taunton. It is a peaceful and very special place to come for therapy, and also a very special place to work. In order to continue to help and support the people who come to us, we are looking for highly skilled, reflective psychologists and psychotherapists, who want the freedom to practice in the way that truly meets the needs of others, rather than meets the needs of a service.
You will be given the autonomy to offer evidence-based therapies (EMDR, CAT, CBT, Schema work) to a range of clients as part of a strong and supportive clinical team. We have an excellent reputation for helping children and families and are therefore particularly looking for practitioners and therapists who enjoy this work.
We are also increasing the flexibility of our service in terms of the timings of appointments offered and so we would welcome applications from skilled practitioners who wish to work either part time, or outside of weekdays 9-5. We are committed to helping our staff team grow and develop over time and ongoing professional development is supported. You will be offered supervision with a consultant clinical psychologist with over 20 years of therapeutic experience. Referrals are managed by a specialist team and allocated on discussion to meet the needs of the individual client.
Somerset is one of the most beautiful counties in the UK. It has open countryside, two sets of hills and beaches. As well as being a great place to spend time, Taunton is close to the M5 and is in easy reach of Bristol. There are fast trains to London and Cornwall, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Dorset coast are an easy drive for a weekend away. The schools are excellent and the houses affordable. A relocation package is available.
