Lisa Bates, Receptionist
Lisa will guide you through the referral process and answer any questions you may have. When you arrive at Somerset Clinic, Lisa will welcome you and ensure you have everything you need.
Dr Freda V Gardner - Consultant Clinical Psychologist
Dr Gardner has worked therapeutically with children, adults, and families for over 30 years. Dr Gardner works with complex presentations including developmental trauma, attachment difficulties, and other mental health and psychological difficulties. Dr Gardner has clinical experience and theoretical knowledge in a range of psychological models and interventions.
Dr Gardner is known for her empathic and effective work with children with worries and anxieties. Dr Gardner has considerable experience working with parents, young people and children when families experience difficulties.
Dr Gardner also provides assessments for the family courts in respect of mental health and psychological state, risk assessment, cognitive functioning and assessment of capacity.
Dr Lucy Hall - Clinical Psychologist
Dr Hall is an experienced Clinical Psychologist, who works across age ranges and specialises in trauma and complex trauma. With a compassionate and client-centred approach, Dr Hall is dedicated to helping individuals heal from the impact of distressing life experiences and rebuild a sense of safety and well-being.
Dr Hall offers a range of evidence-based therapies tailored to each client’s unique needs. She takes an integrative approach to therapy drawing on modalities such as compassion-focused therapy (CFT), cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to support clients in overcoming challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Dr Hall has completed additional training in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT). These approaches are particularly effective for addressing trauma-related symptoms, emotional dysregulation, and patterns of self-destructive behaviour. Dr Hall utilises a systemic approach to consider the broader relational and social contexts influencing mental health.
Dr Hall fosters a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and work toward lasting recovery.
Dr Hall also provides assessments for the family courts in respect of mental health and psychological state, risk assessment, cognitive functioning and assessment of capacity.
Dr Emily Bralee – Clinical Psychologist
Dr Bralee is a Clinical Psychologist dedicated to supporting individuals across all age ranges in overcoming a wide variety of mental health challenges. Dr Bralee specialises in helping clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, and emotional regulation with compassion and empathy.
Drawing on a diverse range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, Dr Bralee adapts interventions to meet the unique needs of each client. Her practice incorporates cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to foster psychological flexibility, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) for emotional and interpersonal skill-building, and compassion-focused therapy (CFT) to cultivate self-kindness and resilience.
By combining clinical expertise with compassionate care, Dr Bralee helps clients build resilience, enhance their well-being, and achieve their personal goals through sustainable change.
Dr Bralee also provides cognitive and capacity assessments for the family courts.
Monique Greyvenstein - Integrative Counsellor
Ms Greyvenstein is an integrative counsellor who provides a sensitive and supportive space for children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of emotional and psychological challenges. With expertise in helping clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief, and relationship difficulties, Ms Greyvenstein tailors therapy to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Grounded in a person-centred approach, Ms Greyvenstein prioritises building a strong, empathetic therapeutic relationship, allowing clients to feel heard, valued, and empowered. Ms Greyvenstein is dedicated to helping clients explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace, offering a safe and non-judgmental environment for self-discovery and healing.
Vicki Keirle – Family Intervention Worker
Vicki Keirle is a family intervention worker offering focused pieces of work with parents, with an emphasis on promoting attachment security for their children. Vicki has a Master’s degree in Attachment Studies, she is an accredited facilitator of the Circle of Security® programme and has extensive experience in providing intervention to families where the difficulties are complex and entrenched.
Mandi Rees – Family Intervention Worker
Mandi Rees is a family intervention worker with significant experience supporting children and families in various social care and educational settings. Mandi offers evidence-based programmes including the Circle of Security® programme, You and Me, Mum, and Caring Dads.
Jen Walker - Intervention Worker
Jen Walker is a family intervention worker who has extensive experience providing targeted interventions to complex families. Jen is able to provide tailored interventions to adults, such as healthy relationships and keep safe work. Jen is also able to provide low level psychological interventions focused on emotion regulation, anxiety, and low mood.
